Shadforths are currently seeking a suitably qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter (Field Service). This position will be based in the Southern Gold Coast region. You will be a trade qualified, ideally with post-trade experience in mobile plant, including hydraulic and electrical knowledge. You will enjoy the independence of working in the field, knowing that further technical support is a phone call away.
Ideally, you will have come from a quarrying, construction, mining or forestry background, with experience working on all types of machinery. Candidates providing 3 plus years experience in earthmoving, forestry or mobile equipment.
Australian recognised trade qualification
Extensive Experience on Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment Essential
Proficient computer skills in MS office, CAT SIS & Komtrax
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
Strong commitment to working at a high standard with emphasis on quality workmanship & work ethics
Committed to workplace health & safety
Reliable, self-motivated with good time management skills
Enjoy working on your own and thinking on your feet
Proven ability to be self-motivated, a self-starter and to work unsupervised
Working knowledge of Caterpillar parts and service systems & computer diagnostics
Hold a current Drivers and Light Rigid Licence (heavy vehicle licence is also highly regarded
Confident in passing a drug and alcohol test
Prescreening with IWS required
